The latest updates, fixes, and small improvements to Pungo.
Available
System-wide cursor customization requires Apple Silicon and macOS 26.6.2, 27.0, or 27.0.1. Intel Macs and other macOS versions are not supported for cursor replacement.
Already bought Pungo? In Pungo 0.5.0 or later, choose Check for Updates from the Pungo menu. If you use 0.4.9 or earlier, download the current version from your Polar purchase details once. Your license stays active across updates.
Discover original cursor packs, purchase with Polar, and download them into your collection.
Discover
Added Bao, Sprig, Pip, Button, Clementine, Pudding, Boba, Finley, Shelly, Ember, Maple, Tumble, and Mallow. Each pack includes 39 static cursor states in four resolutions.
Packs cost €1.99 each as a one-time purchase, with taxes shown at checkout. A separate Pungo license and supported macOS version are required.
Buy from Discover using Polar checkout, then download the pack in Pungo. Restore purchases retrieves packs linked to your activated license.
Pack quality
Refined shell seams, grab-pose details, and utility cursor artwork throughout the new collection.
Pack downloads are verified before being added to your collection.
Give your Mac more time, follow your AI tasks, and keep Pungo close in the menu bar.
Keep Awake
Stay awake for a duration, until a chosen time, until stopped, while an app is open, or during Presentation.
Optionally keep the display awake. End Keep Awake when unplugged or at a chosen battery level; charging remains under macOS control. Extend a timed session by 15 minutes.
Manual sleep and lid closing stay under macOS control. Awake sessions never resume automatically.
AI connections
Connect Codex desktop and CLI, Cursor, and Claude Code using supported local hooks. Codex hooks require review in Codex.
Start an Until AI finishes session with a 1, 2, 4, or 8-hour safety limit. Keep Awake ends after reported active tasks finish.
Session events stay local. Pungo does not store prompts, transcripts, code, or tool output.
At home on your Mac
A single menu-bar hub brings together Keep Awake, Presentation, Settings, and update checks.
Closing the window keeps Pungo in the menu bar. Reopening a window restores its Dock presence; minimizing keeps normal macOS behavior.
Choose to open Pungo in the menu bar at login without opening the collection.
Added user-confirmed in-app installation for future signed updates. Upgrade from 0.4.9 through your Polar purchase details.
Refined
Consistent connected, animated action buttons throughout the app, including setup, Settings, dialogs, and Presentation.
Purchased-license links open the activation settings.
Compatibility
Added cursor customization support for macOS 27.0.1 on Apple Silicon, alongside macOS 26.6.2 and 27.0.
Fixed an error that could stop your first cursor pack from applying.
Fixed
Applying a pack now handles macOS cursors that have no existing override, fixing the “Could not read the static system cursor” error.
Turning a cursor off or restoring cursors removes overrides created by Pungo and returns those cursors to macOS control. Existing cursor customizations are still backed up and restored.
Recovery can continue after restarting the helper if a restore attempt fails.
